Sip, Sip Hooray for AYSI 214 - DT card

Before I introduce you to this week's challenge, I'd like to share some exciting news with you, especially those of you who don't follow my Jan Clothier - Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator Facebook page.

I'm delighted to be able to share with you the news that I've been selected to be part of Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Design Team for 2020. This international team of sixteen demonstrators will be sharing with you, on a regular basis, beautiful projects made with Stampin' Up! products through blog hops, Stampin' Up's corporate blog and Instagram. So watch out to see what we come up with over the next year! It's going to be an exciting creative journey!

Here's a picture of the gorgeous box presented to each of us at On Stages around the world, containing our own Artisan stamp and a special charm bracelet from Tiffany.

So now, down to business.

This week at As You See It, we have a bright and summery colour challenge for you. For those of us in the Southern Hemisphere it's just right and for those in the Northern Hemisphere, it's a glimpse of things to come. Either way, I hope you'll enjoy playing with these colours.

One of the hidden treasures of the Holiday Catalogue is the Sip, Sip Hooray bundle. It's so much fun, with the three different types of glasses as well as various embellishments for them. The sentiments are great too.

I started out by working up a fun background, starting with a piece of Shimmery White card, to set the martini glasses against. I made a similar card a while ago using warm colours and some gold but I like the way these cooler colours have worked together.

In the close-up, you can see the background detail more. I've added just a few sequins from the Snowflake sequins, which catch the light and add some sparkle, along with the Wink of Stella on the drinks.

Possibly, the trickiest part was cutting down the smallest stitched rectangle die for the 'hooray'. Cutting one was OK but it was trickier getting three exactly the same size!

We'd love to see how you see these colours. You can play along with us until Wednesday December 4. You can see what the rest of the team have done, and link up, by visiting us here.

If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products.
