The Paper Players 412 - Design Team Card

This week at The Paper Players, it's Tic Tac Toe week, which only happens when there's a fifth Sunday in the month. So settle in and enjoy LeAnne's lovely challenge!

It was hard to choose a line to play but I've gone straight across the top: leaves, patterned paper, green.

I love this particular pattern from Nature's Poem DSP... I've only got enough left for one more card.
I like the way the Burlap ribbon echoes the texture in the very background of the patterned paper. The leaves are stamped in Tranquil Tide and Mint Macaron, mounted onto Crumb Cake and popped up on dimensionals.

I also took inspiration for this card from the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

I'd love to see what you do with LeAnne's Tic Tac Toe. Have a look at what the rest of the team have done at The Paper Players but before you join up, here's a reminder of our few rules.
  1. Create a new paper project.
  2. Upload your project to your blog with a link back to The Paper Players.
  3. Provide a direct link to your blog post for your challenge entry.
  4. Please link your card to no more than FOUR challenges (including ours).
  5. Enjoy!
Please take note of these few rules as entries that do not comply will be deleted from the gallery.

Retro Rubber Challenge 96 - Design Team Card

This week, Claire has designed a fabulous sketch for us to play with at Retro Rubber. We'd love to have you join us. All you have to do is use at least one stamp that's older than a year and give us an indication of its age.

One of my favourite sets is Dragonfly Dreams, which first appeared in 2017 Occasions catalogue.
I created a bokeh background, stamped one dragonfly and mounted a die-cut dragonfly on a vellum circle.

The sentiment comes from the recently retired One Big Meaning (from AC 2015).

Why not visit the Retro Rubber blog and see what the rest of the team have done with this sketch, then join us? You have until October 5 to join in with us. Just remember: at least one stamp older than a year, tell us how old it is and don't join up to more than ten challenges in total.

If you live anywhere in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I'd love to help you with ideas and Stampin' Up products. Please message me through my Facebook page, linked in the sidebar of this blog or leave a comment below.

And, of course, you can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand by clicking any of the products pictured below or the SHOP NOW button in the sidebar of this blog or you can message me.

Retired products: One Big Meaning, Regals Candy Dots.

Paper Players 411 - Design Team Card

Welcome to sketch week at The Paper Players. Jaydee has given us pretty sketch with a diagonal element to get our ideas flowing.

I decided it was time to use some of the DSP I accumulate. Are you one of those people, like me, who buys pretty paper and then wonders what you're going to do with it? Or if it's really, really pretty it seems a shame to cut it?

I used Petal Palette during last week's classes and I was reminded again how very pretty it is, so it became the basis of this week's card along with the DSP.

To give some extra zing to the floral cluster, I stamped it a second time, fussy cut the largest rose and popped it in with dimensionals.

I'm also still very impressed by the ease by which rhinestones can be transformed into any coloured embellishment with a Stampin' Blend - in this case, Cherry Cobbler.

We'd love to see what you do with Jaydee's pretty sketch.
Why not see the rest of the team's creations over at The Paper Players then share your creation with us? Before you join up, here's a reminder of our few rules.

As You See It 185 - Design Team Card

This week at As You See It, Amanda has given us a gorgeous colour challenge. Isn't it a pretty colour combo?

With Stampin' Up's big colour re-vamp this year, I did part with quite a few of the retired colours. Dapper Denim wasn't one of them, so I dug it out and sponged it, along with Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist, onto a piece of watercolour paper. Then there was a flurry of spritzing, stencilling and stamping until I was happy with the look of it.

Sunshine Sayings is a great set especially when paired with the matching dies, Sunshine Wishes. Together, they give you any number of salutations and wishes for most occasions. The 'love' I die cut from the background paper before the stencilling and stamping happened and it's layered up on two Dapper Denims cuts. Doesn't the Stitched Shape framelit add some pizzazz to the simple white circle?

Dapper Denim is a retired colour but you could recreate this look easily by substituting Night of Navy.

Pop over to As You See It and check out how the rest of the team saw this challenge then join in and show us by Wednesday 3 October.
