Wrapped Bouquet for Paper Players 525

I've used the sketch at The Paper Players as inspiration for another card using the Wrapped Bouquet bundle.

I really like this stamped bouquet image. It colours nicely with a bright pop for the flowers and the various die-cut extras let you build up a unique bunch of flowers every time.

The base layer is Basic Black. The middle layer is Rococo Rose, stamped in Rococo Rose ink with random impressions from the newsprint stamp.  Third layer is Whisper White, embossed with the Tasteful Textile folder.

I've stamped the bouquet image in Tuxedo Black and coloured the blooms with Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends, then added in some extra die-cuts from the Wrapped Flowers dies in Basic Black, Basic Gray and Purple Posy to build up the bunch.

The sentiment and postage-edge dies are from the Art Gallery Bundle.

Some rhinestones finish off the flower centres and lead the eye down to the sentiment.

Thanks, Joanne, for a great sketch!

Update: Happy to be chosen as A Cut Above at The Paper Players.

Friends are Like Seashells for Create. Inspire 82

I'm so enjoying the Friends Are Like Seashells bundle that I keep playing with it! This time, I've used the sketch at Inspire.Create as inspiration.

There's so much to love about this set. In this case, I've used the outline stamps for the sand dollar and the starfish and coloured them with Stampin' Blends. The seashell is a DistINKtive stamp, so is lovely by itself. I've added in stamped sea-foliage (which come with matching dies) and cut some seaweed from the large die cut in the set as well.

What looks like a seascape with sky on the horizon is actually a circle cut from the Sand & Sea DSP. I've mounted that on a Stitched Circle of Sahara Sand.

After embossing a piece of Seaside Spray with the Pinewood Plank 3D folder, I rubbed it over lightly with some Whisper White ink to add to the coastal flavour of this card.

Delighted to be chosen as winner at Inspire. Create. Challenge.

Wrapped Bouquet for AYSI 242

Last week's Speed Stamping, using your scrap box, brought in some fabulous entries. The team at As You See It can't wait to see what you do with this week's sketch.

I used the sketch as an excuse to have another play around with the Wrapped Bouquet bundle, from the 2021 January-June Mini-Catalogue.

I stamped the small spray of flowers in Old Olive and coloured it in using Stampin' Up! Coloured Pencils. I did this twice so that I could fussy cut out some flowers to layer onto the card, but this is an optional step. The spray looks great all by itself! After die-cutting it out, I also die cut some additional foliage in Old Olive.

Before attaching my floral bouquet to the card, I used a Blending Brush to sponge on some Crushed Curry, then over-stamped the area using the newsprint pattern stamp. Then I put all the pieces together into the finished bouquet. The sentiment is from the sentiment-only set, Here's A Card.

I added three small rhinestones as flower centres and two more to lead the eye down to the sentiment.

How do you see this sketch? Join in and show us. You can see what the rest of the team have done, and link up your entry, at As You See It Challenge.

Inspiration for this card also came from the bright and summery colour challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches.

Update: Delighted to be a Top Pick at CAS Colours and Sketches!
