Friend Like You for Freshly Made Sketches 410

I received the Friend Like You Bundle in my latest box from Stampin' Up. For inspiration for my first outing with it, I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

Two things attracted me to the Friend Like You bundle. First were the plant stamps. I love those kind of stamps, where you can stamp it in dark colours and make silhouettes. Since they're two-step stamps, they also look lovely stamped in colours. Then of course, I fell in love with the wildflower border dies. The final touch, as if it needed more to have me buy it, were the tiny dragonflies - and they've even got matching die cuts!

So here's how the first try out worked.

Initially, I stamped the dragonflies onto the background but I just couldn't help using the tiny dies for them, so they're popped up on mini-dimensionals.

Because I wanted the focus to be the nature scene, I kept the rest of the card plain: a textured card base and a plain white sentiment strip.
