Friend Like You for PP467 and InspireCreate56

Here in New Zealand, it's examination season. I've been engaged as an exam supervisor at a nearby school for the last few days. As I've been watching students slaving over their papers, I've had plenty of time to think. Today, I was thinking about the bright and vibrant colour challenge at The Paper Players along with the great sketch at Inspire.Create.

Of course, I've also been late to the Pigment Sprinkle party and I'm also having a bit of a love affair with my latest set, Friend Like You. So, three hours in an exam room thinking about all these things got me here...

Believe it or not, I lightly sprinkled Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape pigment sprinkles onto wet watercolour paper. I like the way they bloom in unexpected ways when you just leave them to do their own thing on the paper. In this case, there was a lovely sense of upwards movement, rather like clouds.

I'd sprinkled them so that Granny Apple Green was at the bottom, like grass, while the Bermuda Bay and touches of Gorgeous Grape were like a moody sky.

Then I stamped some reeds across the bottom in Bermuda Bay and added one of the super die cuts from the Friendly Silhouettes dies.

There's still a few weeks of exam season left, so I'm hoping for even more future inspiration. 😀
