Gorgeous Leaves for Paper Players 229

One of the first sets I got from the July-December Mini Catalogue was the Gorgeous Leaves bundle.  The Clean and Simple Challenge this week at The Paper Players was the perfect excuse to get it out again.

I like a good CAS challenge too, so it was a great combination. Thanks team!

I used one of the pair of Greenery Embossing folders to give a strip of pattern down one side. I ink-smooshed together Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie on Shimmery White cardstock and die cut the large, lacy leaf.

I added in a couple of small gold foil leaves and a Gilded Gem as embellishment. The sentiment, stamped in Mossy Meadow, is from Peaceful Moments.

I liked the layout so much that I made a second card in simple Basic White and Gold Foil. The sentiment is Gold embossed in this one.

Nothing's Better Than for CI108

Welcome to the latest challenge at Colour INKspiration. This week's inspiration picture was chosen by Crew Member Rose Packer.

If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the three easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group.

Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge. This time, we have Jessica Hart joining us as Guest Designer.

If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends.

These bright colours got me thinking of summer fun... which led me to cocktails by the pool. 😀

I used 1cm strips of the challenge colours to create the striped panel, which I cut vertically to get one for the front and one for the inside. I stamped the sentiment on different colours of card, cut them up and reassembled them in a suitably tipsy way.

When you visit the Colour INKspiration site to enter, don't forget to check out the album of Crew Cards for further inspiration.

Intricate Leaves for Stampin' Fancy Friday September

The Stampin' Fancy Friday team is made up of current and past Artisan Design Team members. Each month we have a theme for the month and examples are released on Instagram each day of that month. If you'd like to follow us, look for stampinfancyfriday on Instagram.

This month, we were given a gorgeous sketch to work with. We were all free to interpret it as we wished and to use any current Stampin' Up! products on it. Have a look to see what the rest of the team have done - you'll be amazed at the variety!

For those of you who don't use Instagram, here's my project. I've used the Intricate Leaves dies with a sentiment from Art Gallery.

The background is embossed using the Timber 3D embossing folder. The three stitched panels are vellum and an alcohol ink background made using Stampin' Blends and isopropyl alcohol.

Prized Peony for Retro Rubber 167

It's with a tinge of sadness that I share with you the latest challenge at Retro Rubber, the challenge that encourages you to show your older stamps some love. After several years on the Design Team, this is my last challenge with this lovely, talented crew. I felt I needed to make a bit of extra time in my life, so sadly it was Retro Rubber that has gone to make the space. You never know,  you might see me back in their gallery from time to time!

Anyway, this time it's a sketch challenge from the wonderful Claire Grantham.

I felt in the mood for some colouring, so got out Prized Peony. This set made its first appearance in January 2020. After stamping the large image in Tuxedo Black, I coloured it using Stampin' Blends.

The lovely scalloped edge die is from the matching Peony dies.

It's always great to mix up old and new products, so I've used some of the 2021-2023 In Colours: Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent.

The white panel was embossed with the Tasteful Texture embossing folder. It was also stamped in Soft Succulent with the small diamond splatter stamp.

The sentiment is from Prized Peony and the die is from Tasteful Labels.

We'd love to see how you see Claire's sketch. You can play along with us until 24 September.

You can see what the rest of the team have done, and link up your entry, at the Retro Rubber Challenge site.
