TGIF218

The challenge at TGIF this week is to make a sympathy card.

They're the kind of card no-one wants to have to make but that it's always good to have. So I used the challenge as an excuse to have one stashed away but in the hopes of not needing it any time soon.

When I get a new stamp set, I like to spend a bit of time playing with it and getting to know it. In the last few days, that's been the To A Wild Rose bundle.

I thought that the outline stamps in the set might take kindly to resist embossing. It turns out that they do.

I mixed colours when I sponged the embossing to give more depth. Then I added a hint of sponging to the opposite corner by the sentiment to draw the eye down.

The die cut 'sympathy', from Well Said is layered up and the stamped part of the sentiment popped up on mini-dimensionals.
