As You See It 203 - Design Team Card

Welcome to a new week at As You See It Challenge. In keeping with our new rotation of challenges, the week after Colour week is 'Fill in the blank' week.

I've been a little cheaty in my filling in of the blank. I want to say, "My favourite colours to wear are ocean blues." Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay, with a touch of Coastal Cabana are it for me! They're my favourite colour and bring to mind many happy days and holidays at the beach.

I've played around with my latest stamp set, Gallery Grunge for this card. If you've not taken notice of this set it has four textural, grungy stamps that make lovely backgrounds or can be used to add touches of texture.

I've used various images from the set in Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Whisper White, then brayered the piece in Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point. Then I've added in a few splashes of water to lift the colour before adding the sentiment. I think it all adds up to a good masculine birthday card.

How do you see this challenge? We'd love to have you show us and you have the next fortnight to share in with us. You can see what the rest of the design team have done here.

  1. I love the colours you chose for this card Jan and am totally in awe of the way you managed to create an entire card using textured stamps - they are my nemesis! The braid twine and anchor add a fun nautical finishing touch too.
