Thank you for joining in with the latest hop from the crew at Around the World on Wednesday. If you haven't hopped with us before, we're a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from every time zone in the world where Stampin' Up! operates. You're here with me, in New Zealand.
Each month we present a different theme to inspire you to create.
This month, our theme is 'It's a Wonderful Day in the Neighbourhood'. Where is our favourite place? Where have we enjoyed being?
For me, my happy place is the beach. I love being by the ocean and listening to the waves, wandering along the shoreline just seeing what's been washed up and paddling if it's warm. Many of our best family holidays have been at the seaside so there are many happy memories associated with it too.
One of the many reasons I love the Season of Chic bundle is the seashell stamps. There's also some beautiful seashell paper in the Texture Chic Specialty DSP pack. So these products and the seaside memories have inspired this project.
The fancy fold is one I'd never seen until I received a birthday card using it from an Australian demonstrator, and team mate at Colour INKspiration, Julia Quinn. So I call it Julia's fold but I suppose it has some other much more descriptive name!
If you'd like to see how I made it, here is a video tutorial.
Next up for more inspiration and ideas is the incomparable Leonie Stuart in Australia.
If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the Contact Me tab at the top of the page. You can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand by clicking on the SHOP NOW button in the sidebar or on any of the products below.
If you get lost in the hop, here's a list of participants.

ReplyDeletevery nice card Cheryl ! Thanks for sharing !
ReplyDeleteI love a fancy fold that's easy to achieve and this one looks like I could manage it! I love you chose a beach theme - I love nothing more than to walk along the shoreline, especially if I get to indulge in a little shell collecting too as I did on my recent vacation. A pretty card!
ReplyDeleteOh Jan, what a beautifully elegant card you share. I love how it shows off the papers so well and is an achievable fancy fold. Beautiful xx
