Thanks for joining in with us for the last of Bronwyn's Birthday Bash Blog hops.
We're a group of stamping friends that are celebrating the fabulous Bronwyn Eastley's 60th Birthday in 2022 with six blog hops, over six months, with six fun themes! For the last of her celebratory hops, Bronwyn's chosen the theme TROPICAL HOLIDAY. Here's her inspiration picture, of Port Douglas in Queensland. Idyllic looking, isn't it?
I love a good beach holiday too, although I've never been to Port Douglas. I got near to it once, spending a week at Palm Cove and have been to the Gold and Sunshine coasts a few times too. In New Zealand, although our local beaches are lovely, you can't beat Ohope.
Anyway, because of my love of the beach, I'm always acquiring beach sets. The latest, from the July-December Mini Catalogue, is Sunkissed.
I started by white embossing the island image onto a piece of Fluid100 Watercolor paper. Using the wide brush water painter, I then coloured it with ink refills in Pool Party, So Saffron and Calyspo Coral. Once dry, I cut it with the one of the Deckled Rectangles dies. The deckled edge put me in mind of a treasure map. 😀
The sentiment from Sunkissed, is cut using a die from Nature's Harvest. The cluster around uses some fronds and shell dies from the Chic die set. It's finished off with a couple of small dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment and a linen thread bow.
Next up is the amazing Nikki Spencer with her version of a tropical holiday.

Oh, how beautiful! Your inked background is spectacular! I am in awe of your skill with ink and water, as I'm sure I'd end up with a muddy mess if I attempted this.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tina, although I'm sure yours would be fine. :-)
