Season of Chic for Colour INKspiration 123

Welcome to a new challenge at Colour INKspiration!  This striking colour palette was chosen for us by Crew Member Lou Kitzelman.

If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the three easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group.

Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge, although there is no Guest Designer for this challenge as we unusually had less than ten entries.

If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. - for example Garden Green for Shaded Spruce. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends.

The colours whispered that they were florals but I wanted something a little more than a floral spray, so I turned to what is fast becoming my favourite suite from the new catalogue, Texture Chic. This suite offers a stamp/die bundle (and oh, what a bundle!) plus gorgeous Distressed Gold Specialty paper and stunning Texture Chic Specialty DSP with its opulent touches of gold.

There are images for every season: seashells, flowers, leaves and snowflakes along other grungy elements and a heap of fabulous sentiments.

Although the seashells are my favourite, I went for the flowers and leaves on this one.

I stamped two flowers in Blushing Bride on Whisper White. I die cut them plus an outline in Blushing Bride. I die cut the outline overlay from the Distressed Gold Specialty paper and some stamens in the same paper and Blushing Bride, then assembled the three central flowers. I cut various leaves from Shaded Spruce and Soft Succulent and some smaller die cut flowers from the Distressed Gold Specialty paper so I had plenty to play with when making up the cluster. The netting grid in behind is die cut from Shaded Spuce.

I used the grunge splatter stamps to build a stamped background on the card front before adding the strips of DSP from the Texture Chic Specialty DSP pack then layering up the cluster.

The embellishments are from the 2021-2023 In Colour Opal Rounds. Aren't they a fabulous addition to the bling stable?

I'm very interested to see what everyone does with these interesting colours.

Visit the Colour INKspiration site to check out the album of Crew Cards for inspiration. You can also add your entry there. We all enjoy seeing what you do with our colour palettes, so join in!
