Forever Fern for Stampin' Fancy Friday

This month at Stampin' Fancy Friday, the theme is 'Anything Ombre'. My project used a torn paper mask to create an ombre background.

At the centre is Petal Pink, moving through in each direction with Rococo Rose, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo at the edges. The new Blending Brushes made a smooth job of the transition zones.

I've stamped leaves from Forever Fern in Blackberry Bliss, and some embossed in gold, along with some of the splatters from the same set. The sweet dragonflies are from Friend Like You.

The gold embossed stamping is picked up with the Gilded Gems and the mat of embossed Gold Foil.

If you haven't tried this technique, give it a go - it's very easy if you take care that the mask doesn't move while you're working.

  1. Very pretty. I like the way you used torn strips for your ink blended section and the pretty colors you used. TFS

  2. You are a master of this technique Jan and always make it look so effortless! I may have to be brave and give it a go - it's like a window into the natural world (in pink!) So pretty and the touches of gold add a lovely touch of elegance too.
