Butterfly Brilliance for AYSI 246

It's theme week at As You See It Challenge: Easter.

Easter packaging is something I always like to do and this year, it was easy. I started with the Love You Always Treat Boxes. They're just the right size for a clutch of mini-Easter eggs.

Once I had the Treat Boxes as a base, it was just a case of decoration. The Butterfly Bouquet bundle had just arrived in my house and I was keen to try it out. It's so pretty, that it made for great decoration.

I started by covering the boxes with a strip of Art Gallery DSP, then added a strip of the sweet butterfly paper from the limited-time Butterfly Bijou DSP.  One of the most amazing things about the DSP is that one of the designs matches the butterfly die perfectly, so you can cut six butterflies from the piece. These are the six solid butterflies I used to decorate the boxes.

The Brilliant Wings dies also have a lacy butterfly overlay that matches each of the solid shapes  but can be used equally well by themselves, so I cut a couple of smaller ones to use with the smaller solid butterflies.

Then it was a case of adding in a label, from Painted Labels, and a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings.

We'd love to see what you do with this theme. You can see what the rest of the team have done and link up your entry by visiting the As You See It Challenge site.
