Handsomely Suited for AYSI 245

This week at As You See It, it's recipe week. For the first time ever, we're being joined by a Guest Designer. Anita Trippi won our recent colour challenge and so was invited to join us for this challenge. Please visit her and leave her a comment.

If you haven't played one of our recipe challenges before, it's easy: create something that includes each of the five ingredients on the recipe card.

So, a card that is masculine and uses an embossing folder, twine, die cuts and earth tones. It seemed a great chance to use my latest set, the Handsomely Suited bundle from the January- June Mini Catalogue.

For a quick card, I started with the tie stamps. I stamped three and die cut them: one Cajun Craze on Cajun Craze, one Cinnamon Cider on Cinnamon Cider and one Early Espresso on Sahara Sand. They were mounted on dimensionals on a Stitched Rectangle of Very Vanilla.

The background is Sahara Sand embossed with the Absolutely Argyle embossing folder on an Early Espresso base.

The sentiment from the set is stamped in Early Espresso on another Stitched Rectangle of Very Vanilla over a triple twist of Linen Thread.

We'd love to see what you do with this recipe card. You can see what the rest of the team have done and link up your entry by visiting the As You See It Challenge site.

If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. 1. The combination of embossed background and those rusty brown ties gives your card a real retro 60s feel I think - I love it! And you can't go wrong with ties for a masculine card!!
