Regular readers will know that this week's challenge at Retro Rubber is a collaboration between RR and Try Stampin' On Tuesday in that we're combining their sketch with our requirement for using at least one stamp that's more than a year old. Information about that challenge can be found here.
While exploring the Try Stampin' on Tuesday blog, I discovered that they have another challenge going that's open until 3 March, so I thought I'd play along with them.
Since it's not part of Retro Rubber's collaboration with the team at Try Stampin' on Tuesday, I can use stamps of any age and I turned to A Piece of Cake, a stamp and punch bundle from the new Occasions catalogue.
It's a quick, easy card. The cake and stand were stamped, coloured with Stampin' Write markers then punched out while the heart was fussy cut. The colours used were Merry Merlot, Sahara Sand and Daffodil Delight. I added a very narrow strip of the recently retired Merry Merlot glimmer paper to the Sahara Sand DSP, added a sentiment stamp and voila - done!
To add a bit more interest, the cake and stand are popped up on dimensionals.
If you hurry, you can join in with this challenge but our combined challenge is open until March 8 (or March 10 at TSOT)
