CAS Colours and Sketches 313

This week's challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches gave me a chance to have a first play with Painted Seasons, one of the sets free during Sale-a-bration, with a qualifying order.  It is only available until the end of March.

The DisINKtive set has a striking flower plus various bits of foliage that lend themselves perfectly to a masked spray.

I used clear Wink of Stella on the leaves which not only added a bit of sparkle but spread the ink to be more like a light wash of colour, while retaining the shadowing.

If you live anywhere in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I'd love to help you with ideas and Stampin' Up products. Please message me through my Facebook page, linked in the sidebar of this blog or leave a comment below.

And, of course, you can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand by clicking any of the products pictured below or the SHOP NOW button in the sidebar of this blog or you can message me.

Product List

  1. Non-stamping. So sorry for what happened in your country, recently, Jan. The world has become an angry, intolerable place in the last couple of years.

    1. Thank you, Sue. It has horrified us all and 50 innocents, their families, friends and community paid a high price for one man's madness. It's led to a lot of thinking and talking by everyone and the outpouring of love and togetherness across the country is something to behold. Hardened gang members have offered to stand security outside of mosques around the country beside the police and parliament has already announced gun law reforms.

  2. Beautiful card! Great layout and great use of the colors! Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!

  3. I LOVE the colors but especially LOVE the layout. It's not the typical layout. It really caught my eye and I had to make one for my blog!

  4. Love your layout - very effective. Thank you for joining us for this week's CC&S challenge.

  5. Awesome use of the colours! Thanks for playing along with us at CAS Colours & Sketches this week. Looking forward to seeing your creative projects in the future galleries again.

  6. A card that is beautiful in its simplicity Jan and that subtle border adds great detail. CAS perfection!
