The Paper Players 417 - Design Team Card

It's theme week at The Paper Players and this week our theme is to give thanks.

There is no equivalent holiday to Thanksgiving in New Zealand, and it's rapidly heading towards summer here, but there's always room for Thank You cards in the stash. I opted for some autumnal colours for this card though, brought on by the sunflowers and leaves in the challenge graphic.

I totally fell in love with Floral Statements when the set first appeared in the Stampin' Up stable and now that I've got Stampin' Blends as well as coloured pencils to use with it, I love it even more! The blends are also really useful for giving us fully customised embellishments - aka coloured rhinestones.

I borrowed the little 'so much' from A Big Thank You, a real go-to set for all kinds of thank you cards. I used the label die from Petals & More and cut it shorter to suit the sentiment.

I also took inspiration from the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week.
We'd love to have you join us at The Paper Players and show us how you're giving thanks. Before you do, just check out our few rules:
  1. Create a new paper project.
  2. Upload your project to your blog with a link back to The Paper Players.
  3. Provide a direct link to your blog post for your challenge entry.
  4. Please link your card to no more than FOUR challenges (including ours).
  5. Enjoy!
Please take note of these few rules as entries that do not comply will be deleted from the gallery.

  7. This is a favourite stamp set of mine too Jan to colour with Blends; I just love the warm orange tones and it looks fabulous and striking against the black background, I would never have thought to do that. Great use of the Petal Palette framelit piece for the horizontal too. A gorgeous card!
