Today's card came about almost by accident. I'd been playing around with re-inkers and baby wipes for class samples. At the end, it seemed a shame to waste the ink so I grabbed out Rooted in Nature and stamped out a few trees. I've never inked up this particular stamp before. When I was done, it seemed a shame to put them straight into the bits box so looked around for some inspiration.
Once again, Inspire.Create came through. Here's their lovely sketch.
I can't believe I've never used this beautiful stamp out of my favourite set from this year's Annual Catalogue but I had to take the paper off the back, so it's true!
I've added some interest to the background by adding in the line of cross-stitches from the Stitched Labels framelit set and run it through the Subtle embossing folder.
Thanks for a lovely sketch, team!

Jan this is just gorgeous - it would have been a shame to waste your baby wipe for sure! I love the rich autumnal colours and the little cross stitch detail along with the added texture from the background embossing; LeAnne has been using this folder lots and I have finally caved and ordered it, you are both creating fabulous things with it! A beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it lovely when an almost 'accidental' creation works out? And you can't go wrong with the Subtle Dynamic TIEF either. Thankyou Jan, for joining in with the Inspire.Create.Stamping Sketch Challenge. D x
ReplyDeleteA lovely interpretation of the sketch Jan. Thank you for playing along.
