I took time out from playing with all the fantastic goodies from then new Holiday Catalogue to go back to my absolute favourite set from the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue, Rooted in Nature. I think if I played the Desert Island game with stamp sets instead of books or music, this set would be a top contender. My latest acquisition, the Stitched Lables framelits, arrived unexpectedly early and so got to join the party.
Since basic neutrals (black, white, vanilla) are allowed in our colour challenges, I made my fourth colour Tranquil Tide.
I stamped some leaves in Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake onto the base of the card, along with some splatters from Timeless Textures before building up the foliage cluster on the base of the fussy cut log slice. I finished off with the sentiment mounted on Stitched Label die cuts.
I'm so in love with this set of colours that I can't wait to see what you all do with them! Before you join up, here's a reminder of our few rules.
- Create a new paper project.
- Upload your project to your blog with a link back to The Paper Players.
- Provide a direct link to your blog post for your challenge entry.
- Please link your card to no more than FOUR challenges (including ours).
- Enjoy!
Please take note of these few rules as entries that do not comply will be deleted from the gallery.
Pop over to The Paper Players and see what the rest of the team have done with these delicious colours.

Jan, this is lovely! All that white makes your color combo POP! All the elements and details are perfect! The leaves, layers and the log slice are just beautiful! You rocked this color challenge! I hope you have a wonderful week, My Friend! XX
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteOh so pretty....love the strip of DSP, it ties all your elements together so beautifully! And the Stitched Labels...ahh, my favorite (I say that about a lot of things, I'm afraid)!! So pretty atop your leafy bouquet! And I always forget about that big log image...I need to get that inky, it scares me a little!
ReplyDeleteThanks, LeAnne. That log is sneaky - it likes to leave a missed out patch unless your firm with it!
DeleteJan, I could look at your beautiful creations all day long. Your style is much like my own, clean and layered, with emphasis on leaves and flowers. This beauty is a fabulous example, and you made great use of the colors. Love it :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandy! I often think the same about your work. :-)
DeleteBeautiful job with the colors! I love the dies you used too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this Jan - such great layering behind your sentiment, love the combination of stitched labels and the tree trunk and leaves too, along with the twine. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJan, you have such a flair for combining colors and elements and coming up with (another) fantastic card! I love your style!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annie!
DeleteSwoon! I love this Jan! All of those layered details make my stamping heart squeal. Tranquil Tide is a great mix with these colors. Just gorgeous!
