It's time for a new challenge at As You See It. For our recipe challenge, we're joined by our Guest Designer Jennie Maier, who was the winner of our last colour challenge.
The recipe challenge is a good one - all you have to do is create something that uses all five elements of the mystery box: holiday, embossing folder, ribbon or twine, die cut, patterned paper.
Here's what I came up with, using the Joy of Noel bundle.
My EMBOSSING FOLDER is Distressed Tile 3D for the background.
My RIBBON or TWINE is the gold twine from the Simply Elegant Trim combo.
My DIE CUTs use the Joy of Noel set: the outline for the Christmas spray, the lettering for NOEL and the pine sprigs.
My PATTERNED PAPER is the strip behind the lettering from the Joy of Christmas DSP pack.
We'd love to see how you see this recipe challenge. Visit the As You See It page to see what the rest of the team have done and to link up your entry. You can play along with us until Wednesday 15 November, 11.59pm PST.

Jan, this is so festive and amazing! Such a beautiful design, and a great take on our recipe! This suite is growing on me more and more, just love all the cheer it includes!
ReplyDeleteA traditional Xmas card that is both elegant and pretty. I love the design and how you added the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteStunning Jan! I love that distressed gold paper and didn't even notice the pattern paper under it! The gold paper just stands alone for me. Weirdly, however - my favorite thing on the card is that pattern paper now that I see it - lol. All the elements speak so well together that it adds up to the perfect classic Jan card!
ReplyDeleteThis is the paragon of Christmas cards for me this season! Nothing surpasses this design for me; it's so classic and elegant. I love that distressed gold paper for the lettering and the "ribbon" of DSP underneath! It has everything a Christmas card should have!
ReplyDeleteooh that's gorgeous Jan - I love the rich gold and red in the centre of the card!
ReplyDeleteI just love this Jan - the traditional colours and beautiful white embossed background showcase the NOEL and foliage perfectly. I don't know why this set isn't on everyone's must-have list!!
