Blessings of Home for AYSI 269

This time at As You See It, we have a recipe challenge for you. We are joined this challenge by our Guest Designer, Colleen Begley, who was the winner of our last colour challenge.

We'd love to see what you can cook up with our five ingredients!

Ingredient 1: Die or Punch
I used the lovely new Blessings of Home bundle for this. I stamped the small posy and coloured it and die cut it. I added in some extra foliage from the die set.
Ingredient 2: Embossing
I used my favourite, Tiimeworn Type to emboss the white background panel. I used a blending brush to add some So Saffron to back the bouquet.
Ingredient 3: Twine or Ribbon
I cut the Pale Papaya organza ribbon along the edge to get a narrow ribbon, which I then tied in a bow to back the sentiment. I like the subtle fraying of the ribbon too.

Ingredient 4: Pastels
I guess there's two ways of seeing this. I don't have any pastels for colouring, so I thought of it as pastel colours. So I based my card in the Subtle family collection: So Saffron, Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam and a touch of one of this year's In-Colours, Pale Papaya.
Ingredient 5: Thinking of You
I used the ever-reliable Art Gallery for this. The stamp set has a big range of sentiments, including the lovely, 'I'm thinking of you.' I stamped that in Basic Gray on Petal Pink.

I used a few 2021-23 In Colour Jewels to finish it off.

  3. So perfect, Jan! Your colors are just so fresh and Spring-y here - I like this set so much more with different colors, lol. Great texture choice, too - awesome what a splash of color on that does to lift the whole design, too!

  4. This is GORGEOUS!! What a great idea to snip the edges off that ribbon to create a thinner one! The whole card is a work of art!
