Pleased as Punch for AYSI 217

It's theme week at As You See It Challenge and it's one you'll love: Love!

I've used the soon-to-be-available Designer Series Paper, Pleased As Punch. This paper is especially designed to make the most of the new punches that appear in the January-June Mini-catalogue. They're part of a special Coordination Product Release which also includes dies that coordinate with some of the Catalogue and Sale-abration sets.

I like the pretty colours in this DSP and enjoy the fun, modern feel of it. I've paired it up with the punches that are part of the From My Heart suite.

The patterned hearts are cut straight from the paper with a punch. The frilly edge was created by stamping the frilly-edged heart from the Heartfelt set and punching it with the scalloped heart punch and layering the two together. It's a pretty effect, isn't it?

For me, the big surprise discovery was the two tiny heart dies that are part of the Detailed Bee dies. They let me cut out the two tiny hearts for accents from a scrap of DSP.

We'd love to see what you do with this theme. Will it be for an engagement? A wedding? An anniversary? Or maybe for Valentine's Day? You can see what the rest of the team have done, and link up your entry, at the As You See It Challenge site. The challenge is open until Wednesday 29 January (11.55p.m. PST).

  1. These colours are lovely Jan and add such a fresh feel to ‘heart’ projects without making them feel too Valentines if you know what I mean! The script embossing adds great background texture too. One thing is for sure - I’m going to have to get some of that paper!
