I'm as pleased as punch to be part of the 2020 Artisan Design Team's first hop!
For this assignment, we have all been given different products to showcase, so make sure you go round the hop to see the range of items coming in the exclusive, limited-time Coordination Product Release. This awesome set of products make the most of the just-released Sale-abration items by adding in dies and Designer Series Paper that coordinate with both them and items from the January-June Mini-catalogue. The dies mean no more fussy cutting and the DSP means you, and your customers, can make the most of your new punches.
I'll be showing you the Pleased as Punch DSP and how it works with the Heart Punch combo that is part of the From the Heart suite. This pack of DSP has 3 sheets of 4 double-sided designs. Each design explicitly partners with one of the punches from the mini-catalogue with a reverse side in a more generic pattern. This pack also works with tulip, umbrella and small bloom punches.
Aren't the colours appealing? Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue, Granny Apple Green, Blushing Bride, Petal Pink... a delightful mix. So here's what I made.
The paper that matches the Heart punch has hearts in various patterns and colours on one side that match the plain heart punch perfectly. For the first card, I cut three hearts from the DSP. The strip of DSP down the side is the reverse of one of the other punch papers. I've ink blended a background in the colours of the three hearts I chose. I spotted it with water to lift some colour and added in some flicks of Wink of Stella, along with some coloured sequins, for some sparkle. Playing with making an interesting background is great fun for avid stampers but beginning and casual stampers will fall in love with the beautiful cards that can be made with paper and punch alone.
The sentiment is from Modern Heart, from the Annual Catalogue.
My second card uses the reverse of the heart patterned paper. This pretty pink check paper makes for a lovely baby card. Although it is pink, when mixed with Coastal Cabana, the card becomes gender neutral. To make it more explicitly for a boy, choose one of the Bermuda Bay hearts to use for the centre panel, instead of the Blushing Bride one that I chose. This time, the sentiment is from Animal Outing, from the Annual Catalogue. To soften the sequins, I've added a pearl to the centre of each one.
As with the last card, the paper is so lovely it needs little else to make a great project from beginner to avid crafter.
This paper, like all the products featured in the blog hop, is part of the limited time Coordination Product Release. These products will be available to customers on 4 February but as demonstrators, you will be able to preorder them from 3 January. While pre-orders are limited to one per demonstrator for non-consumables (like dies) you can order two of consumables (like this fabulous paper).
Make sure you pre-order yours today. You'll love the way these dies and the DSP open up so many more creative opportunities with your existing sets and Sale-abration items. The dies co-ordinate with these SAB items: Little Ladybug, Sending You Thoughts and Happy Birthday to You, and also with these items from the January-June Mini-catalogue: Positive Thoughts and Special Someone sets.
The pre-ordering of exciting new products is just one of the reasons becoming a demonstrator makes sense. If you live anywhere is New Zealand, I'd love to have you join my team. There's information on this in the tab at the top of the page.
Next up on the hop is the Crafty Little Peach herself, Lauren Alarid. You'll have been enjoying Lauren's creations for the Artisan Team for the last couple of years so we're really lucky to have her with us again for 2020.
