Welcome to a new challenge at As You See It. In keeping with our new roster of challenges, after Recipe week, it's theme week. It's a great theme this week: trees. How will you see it? Autumn trees? Evergreens? Christmas trees?
One of my favourite sets is Rooted in Nature, partly for its versatility. It doesn't scream Christmas but it makes very fine Christmas trees. I've paired them up with some of the gorgeous Wrapped in Plaid DSP. Not only does it come in rich colours, such as Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler, but it incorporates lovely accents of gold.
After I stamped the trees in Shaded Spruce, I penned on some Versamark then embossed them with white embossing powder mixed with Ice glitter. In real life, there's a lovely glimmer from the glitter in the 'snow'.
The sentiment is from my top pick from the Holiday Catalogue: Itty Bitty Christmas for its many versatile greetings.
We'd love to see what you do with this challenge. Visit the As You See It Challenge blog to see what the rest of the team have done and to link up your entry.

I love the snowy tree scene you created Jan - and it pairs beautifully with the plaid frame. The touches of gold are a lovely luxurious addition too. Such a pretty Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteThose plaid papers are gorgeous aren't they and really remind me of nostalgic Christmasses gone by. Your snowy scene is the perfect pairing for them. Vicky x
