How challenging is that?!
It seemed a good excuse to use something from my pre-order Holiday Catalogue box. The Mercury Glass Designer Acetate had been looking at me accusingly, wondering why it was still in the packet...
This beautiful silvery-patterned acetate makes such a statement on its own that it only needed a simple treatment to make a card. I love the way that whatever's underneath peeks through the pattern on the acetate. The copper foil added warmth to the Night of Navy and Mercury Glass. The filagree die-cut and the self-adhesive Star Designer Elements are also in the 2019 Holiday Catalogue, available on 4 September.
The Night of Navy strip has been run through the Subtle embossing folder, giving a pretty parchment paper look pattern that's a nice contrast to the shattered glass look of the designer acetate sheet and the glittery words.
It turns out that it's quite difficult to make a card without using a single stamp but it was a fun challenge. Thank you, JAI team!

ReplyDeleteI think I was a little hasty in overlooking this acetate Jan it looks so dramatic and stunning layered over the copper foil. Paired with that larger than life sparkly sentiment, this is a super shiny and festive card!
