SUO 222 - Celebrate

Tomorrow is Mother's Day but in our family, we've celebrated early. Today, my girls took me out to a winery for a tasting and platter and tonight, we had dinner with my mother-in-law.

Usually, I only make one Mother's Day card. This year, I had Good Morning Magnolia to play with. Having made one card that I thought I'd use, I've ended up making another with it that I've given to my mother-in-law instead. Since the theme at SUOnly Challenge is 'celebration', I thought I'd share it there.

I've seen around on the internet a number of waterfall cards, so I decided to give one a go. I've seen lots around but when it came to instructions, I came to Shannon Kissane, via my Colour Inkspiration team-mate, Elizabeth Gross and also Steesha Bloodheart. Their instructions for these beautiful cards are very easy to follow.

Here's my take, using Good Morning Magnolia, a suite that will be available on June 4 in the new annual catalogue.

The beauty of these cards is that they fold up perfectly to fit into a regular envelope.
Here's mine, folded. The ever-versatile Well Said bundle let me have the sentiment of my choice.

Since each card used a half sheet of two different coloured sheets of card, I made up the other halves into a card in the same same style. It turned out prettily too.

    1. Hi Sharon. The Mossy Meadow base card is a standard piece of A4 cardstock cut in half longways, so it ends up 10.5cm wide and the about 29.8 long. So as if you were making a standard tent fold card base. The Petal Pink is 10cm wide and 28cm long, scored at 7cm and 14cm. Each piece of DSP is cut 0.5cm smaller in height and width to the area it will be attached to. I hope that helps. :-)
