Welcome to the latest challenge at Retro Rubber. Our theme is "Spring is here" - which is only true if you live in the Northern Hemisphere. Down in New Zealand, we're well into autumn. So if you're a Northern Hemisphere dweller, get out your old flower stamps and celebrate Spring. If you're a Southern Hemisphere dweller, then get out your old flower stamps and play with them anyway!
As always, the rules are simple. Use at least one stamp that's a year or more old and tell us the approximate age of it. Ink up some of your old favourites and have some fun!
My card is a celebration of impending retirement... one of my favourite floral sets in the current catalogue is Oh So Eclectic. It's been with us since the 2017 Annual Catalogue but come the end of May, it will be retiring to make way for some even more fabulous sets.
I love the mix of lines and solid stamps this set offers. The leaves are gorgeous either stamped or die cut. I stamped them in Lemon Lime Twist with a bit of Tranquil Tide daubed around the edge. I did the same with the die cut leaves but also sponged the edges to give a bit more definition. If you've had your eye on this set, order it now before it's gone for good.
Also retiring soon are the 2017-19 In-Colours: Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Fig and Powder Pink. I've used the first four for this card. I love these colours and I'm not sure which one I'll miss the most. If you love these colours, make sure you stock up on them asap. Once they're sold out, they're gone forever.
Visit the Retro Rubber Challenge site here to see what the rest of the team have done with this theme challenge then ink up some favourites and join us before May 17.
I'm also entering this card into the theme challenge at The Paper Players, Friendship. You can play along with them until noon on Friday 10 May (PST).
