Lola's Challenge

This week the design team at As You See It are running a special challenge for Lola, Tara's niece, who is only nine but fighting childhood cancer. Since she immune-compromised after a bone marrow transplant and can't receive actual cards, we're running a challenge to make cards for her that she can see on-line instead. Please join us this week, for Lola's challenge.

I wanted to use butterflies because they are such an image of hope and change for the future. I also wanted to include beads because so many childhood cancer patients collect Beads of Courage in their journey.

I hope you like this card Lola. Thinking of you.

Card: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Gold foil
Stamps: Butterfly Basics, Papillon Potpourri
Inks:  Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar and SU Pretty in Pink, Versamark
Other: Butterfly thinlit, Gold embossing powder, Honeycomb embossing folder, Peel off black letters, letter beads, Blushing Bride bakers' twine, pink enamel dots from Paper Vine, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery stamp'n'write marker, sponges.

  1. Love the background and special touch with the beads (and cute bows).
