I thought it would go well with the colours this week at Colour Me Challenge.
Autumn colours are everywhere in the challenge world, which is a bit odd for me since it's coming into summer here. Even without the autumn connotation, they are still rich, warm, inviting colours to use and I couldn't help but use the leaves from French Foliage as a backdrop for the sentiment. The die cut 'you' is stacked and the bottom layer is black to give a very subtle outline/shadow that highlights the word.
Ingredients
Card: Cajun Craze, Whisper White, scrap of black.
Stamps: French Foliage, Crazy for You
Inks: Cajun Craze, Hello Honey
Other: Hello You thinlits, sponges
Its a very breezy, warm day here and the weather has been so Summery, so I know what you mean about making Autumn cards. This is gorgeous though and really like the 'you' die cut you used. I'm off to do some gardening for my Mum shortly, will have to staple my hat to my head!!!
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled across your blog- as a fellow New Zealander thought I would say hello! Love all of your creative cards.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the season! I too am heading into summer, but adore autumnal tones all year, and this is such a beautiful CAS way to show them off! Love how you have super-imposed that 'you' over that beautifully masked strip of foliage. So much dimension with limited layers! Lovely to have you join us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely pop of color and design Jan.
