Celebratory Sips for Paper Players 754

Thanks to everyone who played along with Joanne's Tic-Tac-Toe last week. There were many fantastic entries. I'm keen to see what everyone makes of Ann's theme this week: Food or Drink.

My go-to drinks set is Cheers & Sips, along with the fabulous Celebratory Sips DSP. I started with a strip of DSP and that led to the choice of Blackberry Bliss as the base colour and for the mat at the centre.

I embossed the central white panel with the glass folder from Glass and Gardens embossing folders. I curled the top right corner to add a little extra interest.

I'm not usually a ribbon user, but I did have sitting on my desk a roll of the Mossy Meadow and Gold ribbon. With the gold thread running through it, it's so pretty and the colour worked well with the foliage of the DSP. I added a strip of ribbon and a bow to create a horizontal.

 

The two glasses were fussy cut from a piece of the DSP.  I ran the long glass through the SCEM machine to give it the impression of cut glass before mounting it onto the embossed panel. The short glass was popped up on dimensionals. 

I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink and cut it using Stylish Shapes. The embellishments are Strawberry Slush gems.

Cheers & Sips for Paper Players 742

Hello everyone! Time for a new challenge at The Paper Players and our hostess this week is Claire. She has given us a two fold challenge this week. It's both a Clean and Simple Challenge and with  the theme of Fresh and Fruity.

So, what does Clean and Simple mean? It means that your project should have a lot of clean, white space. There should be few layers or embellishments. The finished project should feel crisp and uncluttered. 

I've been playing around a lot with the Celebratory Sips suite from Online Exclusives. and there are the sweetest little strawberries, citrus slices and mint leaves with which to embellish your drinks. 

 

I used the dies to cut a tall and short class but did not stamp them first. They were cut from a piece of the Celebratory Sips DSP but not stamped with an outline, although I did stamp in some ice cubes. I ran the tall glass through the Cut and Emboss machine with the impression die to give the effect of cut glass. 

I used the glass embossing folder from the Glass & Gardens embossing folder duo to give some texture to the background. Then I stamped some berries, citrus and mint and coloured them in with Stampin' Blends. The strawberries are coloured with Strawberry Slush and Lemon-Lime Twist. The lemons with Daffodil Delight and the limes with Granny Apple Green. 

Once they were die cut - and some of the citrus split to fit the edge of the glass or cut into smaller segments - I had fun arranging them in and around the glasses. 

I added in a sentiment from Cheers & Sips and some Holographic Resin Dots (perhaps pushing the boundary of CAS but I did it anyway)!

I can't wait to see all the Clean and Simple creations in this week's challenge!

Get Ready for Creativity Abounds Celebratory Sips Stamp Camp!

 

It seems like hardly any time at all since our last Stamp Camp but here we are again, getting ready for a weekend of fun with you all! 

If you haven't already caught up with things, our next Stamp Camp is June 28-29 (South Pacific). Our  Featured Product for camp is the Celebratory Sips Suite. All the finer details can be found here. If you live in New Zealand, you can only get your Stamp Camp invitation from me.

As always with our Stamp Camps, you'll get a PDF and Video tutorial for 13 projects. This will be sent to you before camp starts, along with make and take kits (excluding the items you've purchased for camp).

This is the card I've put into the Tutorial Bundle. I hope you'll love making it!

And, as always with Stamp Camps, you'll get an additional 13 projects during the Stamp Camp. Each of us will do a Face Book Live presentation of a bonus project. These are usually fancy affairs with lots of techniques and fancy folds - sometimes both in the one project!

Cheers & Sips for Paper Players 737

Hard to believe it but it's already time for a new challenge at The Paper Players. We were delighted by the entries in Joanne's 'Something Old, Something New' challenge. We hope you'll have as much fun with Ann's colour challenge. 

While these colours did sing of flowers to me, it was the Cheers & Sips bundle that ended up getting an outing instead. It's still on my desk as I'm prepping for the Creativity Abounds Virtual Stamp Camp at the end of June. If you're interested in joining me, and the other 12 members of the international crew, for this stamp camp you can read the details here.

The card base is Lost Lagoon, with a jauntily  askew piece of Berry Burst as a matte. The Basic White card front is embossed with one of the Glass & Garden embossing folders.

 

I used Versamark to stamp an image of each of the glasses and added some ice cubes to each. Then I used WOW White Embossing Powder and heated it up. Then I sponged over Bubble Bath ink and Berry Burst ink with a blending brush. 

I used the same resist emboss technique to create the umbrella, strawberry and mint leaf. The sentiments were stamped in Lost Lagoon ink. 

Then I added the mocktail glasses to the card front, popping the Bubble Bath long glass up on dimensionals.

To finish off, I added in a trio of Berry Burst tinsel gems - which have sadly just retired but can still be snapped up on the Last Chance list.

Cheers & Sips for PP735

This week at The Paper Players, it's my favourite kind of challenge: a sketch. Before I get to Claire's lovely sketch, I'd like to say what super creative entries we had for Elizabeth's CAS Bunny challenge. So many clever ideas and so many beautiful cards! I can't wait to see what you do with this sketch. 

I've started playing around with the Celebratory Sips suite, one of the new online exclusive suites that will be available from 6 May. This fun suite is the featured product in the next Creativity Abounds Stamp Camp on June 28-29. I've also called on some of the 2025-2027 In Colors for this one, since some of the colours are in the Celebratory Sips DSP. The base is Strawberry Slush, which some of you will remember from many moons ago. Cloud Cover is that soft blue/grey and Timid Tiger is the colour of the orange. 

Much of the hard work of this card is done by the DSP. The drinks and cocktail umbrella are fussy cut directly from the DSP.  I did run the long glass through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine with one of the Cheers & Sips dies to get that pretty patterning on the liquid. 

I popped the cocktail umbrella up on dimensionals to add some lift. The curved glass is also on dimensionlas. 

The white panel is embossed using one the two embossing folders that are part of this suit: the Glass & Gardens embossing folders.

The sentiment is white heat embossed on Strawberry Slush and the 'Let's Celebrate' is stamped in Strawberry Slush. 

The finishing touch is the addition of three Holographic Resin Dots.

This is a fun suite and I've got lots more ideas for it, so I'm sure you'll be seeing more of it.

What do I get from Stamp Camp?

Aside from the fun of joining in crafting with people from all over the world, the biggest thing you get is INSPIRATION in the form of tutorials and live presentations.

How often have you invested in a suite or bundle, made a handful of things then run out of ideas? That won't happen with Celebratory Sips because this is what Stamp Camp gets you:

1. Make and Takes

In the week before Stamp Camp, you'll receive a tutorial package that will have both PDF and Video instructions for thirteen different projects using the Featured Products.

For these projects, you'll also receive a kit for each project containing all you need for each project (excluding the products you have purchased).

Note: If you cannot pick up the kits, there may be a small charge of $11.50 for posting them out to you, with a rural delivery surcharge if applicable.

    2. Bonus Projects

During the Virtual Stamp Camp, each of our thirteen team members will present as a Facebook Live an additional project, created just for the camp. Cutting instructions will be available for you so you can create these projects if you wish. They will be saved to YouTube so the presentations will be available to you to rewatch at your leisure.

That makes a total of 26 projects for your new suite. Many of the ideas, you'll be able to apply to other things in your craft room - so really, INSPIRATION is what the camp offers you. 

    3. Interaction with people around the world

During the weekend, you'll get the chance to share what you've made to the private Stamp Camp Facebook page. There will be challenges to enter if you want, a Crafternoon Tea where you can chat with the team and lots of chances to share with other crafters.

What do I do if I want to join in?

If you live in New Zealand, simply order the suite from me as soon as it becomes available on 6 May.

Tick the option to allow contact so that I can send you information and the make and take kits before the camp begins. I will contact you to let you know I've got you on the Stamp Camp list and to confirm delivery details for the kits. If you don't hear from me, message me in case something's gone wrong. 😀

You should order it early because sometimes things sell out. You also need to make sure your order has time to arrive before Stamp Camp starts. The last day to get your invite to Stamp Camp from me is 1 June so make sure you've ordered by then.

What if I already have the suite?

If you already have the suite, make an order to the same value through me. Message or email me to let me know that is what you have done so I can add you to the Stamp Camp invite list.

What about Stampin' Up! Rewards?

Please note that while your purchase of the featured Stamp Camp products will earn you Stampin' Rewards (as long as you have opted into the programme) you cannot use already earned rewards to purchase the Celebratory Sips suite. 

Using Stampin' Rewards to purchase the Celebratory Sips suite will indicate that you do not wish to participate in Stamp Camp. Your order can include extra items which you can purchase with your rewards.
