Nature's Harvest for CI109

A fortnight goes by very quickly, because it's already time for a new challenge at Colour INKspiration!
We were delighted by both the number and quality of entries in the last challenge and we look forward to seeing what you all do with this one. This gorgeous graphic was chosen by Crew Member, Lou Kitzelman.

If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the three easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group.

Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge. This time, we have Yvonne Spikmans - Van Bruggen joining us as Guest Designer.

If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends.

This colour combo got me thinking of nature and it seemed a perfect mix for the Nature's Harvest bundle - another of my many favourites. 😀

The card base and branches are Early Espresso, as is the sentiment and the shadow under the sentiment. The mat and the wheat are Cinnamon Cider.

The flowers are stamped and coloured in 'Crushed Curry', Cinnamon Cider and Pool Party. I confess to using a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend. It's so very close to Crushed Curry and there is no Crushed Curry Blend to use.

For the background, I stamped the splotchy, moss-like stamp in Pool Party onto the Very Vanilla card base. Then I cut a piece of Vellum and embossed it using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder - another favourite, must-have item.

When you visit the Colour INKspiration site to enter, don't forget to check out the album of Crew Cards for further inspiration.

  1. This is stunning Jan - I love the way you used the colours and mix of coloured and solid diecuts. The addition of the trim and the embossed background on the vellum makes this a standout card. gorgeous!
