Artistically Inked for CI 107

Welcome to the latest challenge at Colour INKspiration. This week's inspiration picture was chosen by the wonderful Cheryll Miller. Isn't it rich and luxurious?

If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the three easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group.

Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge. This time, we have Christine Versluis joining us as Guest Designer.

If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends.

This opulent colour palette had me thinking florals and it is a colour combo that I really love. I went through my floral sets and thought it would be a challenge to use the abstract imagery in Artistically Inked. Here's how that turned out.....

After stamping the Rich Razzleberry blowsy roses, I masked them and added some Mossy Meadow stamped leaves. The large Blackberry Bliss bloom, with the So Saffron centre, was stamped and die cut so it could be popped up for depth.

I added in some So Saffron dots. I used a Blending Brush to add in some So Saffron in the lower corner.

I die cut a Mossy Meadow spray of leaves then cut them up to add some of them to the arrangement. Finally, I added the sentiment.

I did a lot of umming and ahhing around whether to add some bling. I decided not to, on the grounds it was a busy enough design. I'm kind of regretting that now but I can always add some before I sent it to anyone. Last minute alterations is another perk of making your own cards. 😀

When you visit the Colour INKspiration site to enter, don't forget to check out the album of Crew Cards for further inspiration.
