Plentiful Plants for FMS490

Well, it's one of those wet, miserable winter days today. Perfect for an afternoon in the craft space! Literally the clouds had a silver lining. 😀

I opened up a new bundle, Plentiful Plants, and was keen to give it a run. Inspiration came from the new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

Normally, I'm not someone who uses a lot of Designer Series Paper in my cardmaking. However, the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP is something special. One side is botanical: leafy patterns along with plants  and pots that can be cut out and used as is, while the other side contains wonderful natural textures like wood and stone. These tempted me into using them as a base for the card.

I really enjoyed playing with the plants and pot stamps. The DistINKtive technology really gives the images a sense of depth. The die cut macrame hanger is lovely and such a blast from the past. I remember as a young newly-wed teaching myself macrame to make some hangers for our first house.

While not part of the suite, the Macrame 3D embossing folder makes a great companion to this bundle and I've used it on the background circle behind the plant. The embossed circles I saw used recently by the very talented Aurelie Fabre here.
