Snowflake Splendour for PPCC 396

I unpackaged the Snowflake Splendour suite today. It's full of beautiful things: stamps, delicate snowflake dies, iridescent ribbon, gorgeous DSP that's Christmas on one side and watercolour wash on the other, an embossing folder, shiny blue baubles... wonderful! In the Southern Hemisphere, it's always the dilemma - Christmas is mid-summer and not a snowflake in sight, so  - what to do?

So what I do is think about the people in the Northern Hemisphere to whom cards are sent for one. Secondly, I think about how many people, even in New Zealand, still associate Christmas with snowy scenes - the archetypal memories live long. Thirdly, I think about how much pleasure I'm going to get from making projects with such beautiful things and embrace it.

In the spirit of embracing it, I looked to the sketch at Paper Craft Crew Challenge for inspiration, just to give the items a preliminary work out!

I cut two pieces of DSP (so hard to choose which ones) and sponged the edges with Pacific Point. I added in some more snowflake stamps onto the top piece, also in Pacific Point. The Whisper White card front has been embossed using the Winter Snow embossing folder and attached it to a Balmy Blue card base.

I've used three of the snowflake dies to create a cluster: one stamped and die cut, one cut from Balmy Blue Glimmer paper and one from Pacific Point.  Then I've added in two of the smaller snowflake die cuts.

The sentiment is fussy cut and on dimensions. I couldn't resist adding in a touch of Snowflake Splendout 1/4" ribbon - it changes so prettily in the light. Finally, I added in three of the Blue Adhesive-backed Gems. Everything in the suite got a chance to play!

Update: Delighted to be a Top Pick at Paper Craft Crew Challenge.
