Mountain Air for FMS 451

My classes this month have been using Mountain Air so when I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week, I saw the two vertical elements as the gorgeous die cut trees that are part of the bundle.

I started with piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour paper, wet it and daubed it with Just Jade, Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam ink. Then I spritzed it and let it all run together before drying it off with the heat tool.
It was a real pleasure to see how the trees looked as I removed them from the dies. There are two identical tree dies in the set, so you can cut two at once, although I trimmed one a bit shorter.

I stamped a mountain range in the aptly named Grey Granite then added some greenery using Just Jade. Although I'd stamped off both colours first, I wanted the background to recede a little even more so I covered the front with a panel of vellum before adhering the trees.

Finally, I added in the sentiment, from Itty Bitty Greetings, using Grey Granite, a shadow of Shaded Spruce and a Just Jade enamel dot.
