Poinsettia Petals for Colour INKspiration 85

Welcome to a new challenge at Colour Inkspiration. We're continuing our look at the 2020-2022 In Colours, this time showcasing Misty Moonlight. We'd love to see what do by mixing it up with Rich Razzleberry, Gorgeous Grape, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White.

If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the two easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group.

Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge.

If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends.

I thought I'd use these colours for a non-traditional Christmas card using the wonderful Poinsettia Petals bundle.

I embossed the flower layers and leaves in gold on Shimmery Cardstock then coloured them with inks and a Water Painter. The flowers are a mix of Rich Razzleberry and Gorgeous Grape. I've added accents in Misty Moonlight while the leaves are inked in Pear Pizzazz.

I also added a fine inky splatter of Misty Moonlight under the cluster using some dilute ink and water painter.

We'd love to see what you make of these colours. You can add your project, see the other entries and look at the Design Team inspiration by clicking here.

  1. Unconventional but I love it Jan - the gold embossing adds a touch of elegance but those rich, bejewelled colours make your poinsettia a real standout - stunning!
