This week at Retro Rubber Challenge, we've got something a little different for you. We have this great sketch for you to play with. As usual, you must use at least one stamp that's a year or more old and tell us the approximate age of it.
The little bit different we've got for you is that this week, we're paired up with the Double Trouble Challenge. So you can play with just us, just them, or create something that fits both challenges and you can enter both.
The Double Trouble Challenge requirements are:
Thing 1: Trouble Maker: 3-2-1 recipe: 3 colours - 2 embellishments - 1 old stamp.
Thing 2: Double Dare: Use the Retro Rubber Sketch and the 3-2-1 recipe. Be sure to link to both challenges.
Thing 3: Twisted Sister: Use the Retro Rubber Challenge sketch with at least one angular shape. Be sure to link to both challenges.
You can choose to do Thing 1, Thing 2 or Thing 3. Or you can just play our sketch any way you want to as usual and not do any of Thing 1, 2 or 3.
I have chosen Thing 2 - The Double Dare. I've used the Retro Rubber Challenge sketch and the 3-2-1 recipe. 3 colours: Petal Pink, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo. 2 embellishments: a pair of rhinestones. 1 old stamp: The outline rose from To A Wild Rose (Annual Catalogue 2019)
I started by stamping the rose stamp randomly over a panel of Whisper White. Then I used a journalling pen and ruler to add in the vertical lines and the triangle.
The 'thanks' was die-cut three times, twice in Pool Party and once in Basic Black, stacked, then given a coat of clear embossing powder to give it some sparkle and shine.
We'd love to see what you do, either just for us or as a combined challenge. You can see what the rest of the team have done, and link up your project, by visiting the Retro Rubber Challenge site.
