This week's 'Finish the Sentence' challenge should give us some interesting entries this week, if the discussions among the Design Team are any indication. So, this week at As You See It, we challenge you to finish this sentence:
So the first question is, "What is my favourite movie?" For me, like for many of us, that changes frequently. However, it's become a family tradition in recent years to get together to watch Love Actually at Christmas time and so that is what inspired this card.
I moved away from the traditional reds and pinks of romantic cards into Merry Merlot and Smoky Slate because the film shows us love in many ways and not just happy, romantic endings.
Because it also goes a long way to showing us that love is all around, Cupid's arrows are going in both directions and the hearts are tumbling. Getting the arrows straight and evenly spaced was certainly easier using the hinge technique with Stamparatus.
The sentiment is one that also works with this movie because it is one you could give to anyone from a romantic other half to a good friend. I think these colours also work if you're looking for a romantic card to give a bloke.
