Forever Blossoms for CI73 - Crew Card

It's time for a new challenge at Colour Inkspiration.

We are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here.

If you play with us regularly, you'll notice a couple of changes from this point forward. We will no longer be doing a Design Team Blog Hop to kick off each challenge. Instead, there will be an album of Design Team projects for you to look at for inspiration. If there is a blog post on a particular project, there will be a link to it in the comments. Secondly, we will no longer be holding a poll of the Top 5 picks to choose a winner. A Top 5 and overall Winner will be selected by the Design Team and announced. The winner will still be offered the chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge.

This time around we have this lovely inspiration for you. The picture was taken by Sally Graham, a friend of Liz Gross - one of our crew members. What a fabulous image!

So the colours for us this fortnight are Highland Heather, So Saffron and Mossy Meadow. That combination sent me straight to a floral image. I love the detailed spray of flowers in Forever Blossoms, one of the sets from the January-June Mini Catalogue. After stamping the spray in Tuxedo Black, I coloured it with Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather, So Saffron and Mossy Meadow. After die-cutting it out, I also die cut out the same shape twice more in Mossy Meadow and stacked them. That way, a subtle Mossy Meadow shadow helped define the floral image.

I built up the background for the image by sponging in So Saffron and then overstamping it with the script stamp from Very Versailles, also in So Saffron. Then I added in some open splats from Artisan Textures in Highland Heather.

The pearls are subtly coloured with a dark So Saffron Stampin' Blend. The sentiment, from Good Morning Magnolia, makes the card a versatile one - suitable for many occasions from a birthday to 'just because'.

You have a fortnight to join in the challenge. We'd love to see what you do with this pretty colour palette, so make sure you join up on the Facebook Group, Colour Inkspiration.
