Colourful Seasons for Retro Rubber 131 DT card

This week at Retro Rubber Challenge, it's time for my favourite challenge - Tic Tac Toe. With Easter approaching, there are plenty of opportunities to make an Easter card but, as my example shows you, it's not compulsory. As alway, since this is Retro Rubber Challenge, you do need to use at least one stamp that is a year or more old and give us an approximate age for it.

I've played the middle row: Embossing - Die cut or punch - twine.
Embossing: One leaf has gold embossed veins and the sentiment is embossed with black embossing powder.
Die cut or punch: the card front is cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies and the leaves are all cut using dies from the Seasonal Layers dies.
Twine: There's a rustic twine bow on the centre leaf.

I've chosen Colourful Seasons, from the 2017 Annual Catalogue to use because with autumn coming on, it's so lovely to use.

The background stamping is from Artisan Textures, from the 2018 Annual Catalogue.

To create the leaves, I've used Pigment Sprinkles (Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green) on Fluid100 water colour paper. They make for such an exciting background, since no two pieces ever come out identically.

Also new are the lovely Champagne Rhinestones, which add a touch of warmth to the design.

I was inspired by the sketch at Just Add Ink for this card and I might just squeak into their challenge this week.

We'd love to have you join in the challenge and show us how you see the sketch. You can visit the Retro Rubber Challenge site to see what the rest of the team have done with it and to link up your entry. You can play along until 3 April.
