Just Add Ink 438

The colour challenge at Just Add Ink caught my eye.

I designed the card in the middle of a long, hot, sleepless night but like many such things, it was better at 2 a.m than in the light of day! I think that's because at heart, I'm a crisp, clean-lines kind of girl so having a patterned AND dark background is uncharted territory for me. I'll blame having watched Kylie Bertucci's LoveitChopit Facebook live during the day. :-)

Anyway, the set is Beauty Abounds from the upcoming Occasions catalogue and the DSP is a Sale-abration item. So this bold card is a bit of a sneak peek of soon-to-be-available goodness.

In addition to the black and white neutrals, my third colour is subtle: the silver glimmer.

The close-up shows the way these lovely die cuts can layer together, although each is beautiful on its own. The Granny Apple Green strip has been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder, which gives it the texture of ribbon.

Note: The stamp and die bundle, Beauty Abounds, and DSP will be available January 3

  1. This does have a very rich almost vintage feel with the darker tones Jan. I do love how the colours pop against the B&W DSP! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
