SUO 209: Holiday Catalogue

At SUO Challenge this week, the challenge is to use things from this year's Holiday Catalogue. What a dream challenge - to play with our new toys!

This year, I set myself the challenge of limiting the number of Holiday Catalogue items I got and trying to maximise the use of each one. It's turned out to be quite tricky, given all the truly beautiful products in this year's Holiday catalogue and I regularly feel envy when I see lovely creations with the sets I 'almost' got! Having said that, it's pushed me into some different directions.

One of my purchases was the Peaceful Noel bundle, papers and accessories. This card was my attempt to get a different look and feel with it. The Joyous Noel specialty papers are so glorious, with the copper accents and rich earthy colours that it's easy to make beautiful things with it. In this case, I was looking for a more country/rustic feel.

The Corrugated dynamic textured impressions embossing folder really came to the rustic party when teamed up with Crumb Cake and so made a great ground for my wreath.

The wreath is made on a ring base of Tranquil Tide cut out by using two Layering Circles framelits.
The sprigs are cut using the Sprig punch. Every fourth sprig is cut from Tranquil Tide Glimmer paper.

Since one of my other purchases was the Merry Christmas to All bundle, one of the dies from that makes a cameo appearance to make a label for the sentiment.

Here's my supply list.
