The Paper Players 389 - Design Team Card

Weren't there some amazing entries in last week's gallery for LeAnne's serene colour challenge?
Let's see what you do for this week's CAS challenge from Sandy.

So there's two things to remember about this challenge - it has to contain a magical/mythical creature of some type AND it has to be in a Clean and Simple style. I had to get that in because on a couple of occasions, I've made my DT card and completely forgotten the CAS part and had to go back to the drawing board!

So for this card, I had to get a bit creative in what I'd even use. I borrowed the Magical Day stamps and dies from my upline and friend, Deana, since there wasn't a fairy, unicorn, gnome or leprechaun to be found in my craftroom. If I want my own set - or if you want your own set - you'll have to shop now because Magical Day is retiring at the end of May.

I thought the overlay of foil acetate down the side picked up the gold colour and the scales on the mermaid.  If you like to include foil acetate in your crafting, that too is retiring so take the chance to stock up while you can.

I sponged a circle of Bermuda Bay and Pool Party through a mask then stamped in some bubbles. I die cut a couple of sea-weed pieces and added them. The mermaid and her seahorse companion were coloured with Stampin' Blends. Then they were die cut and popped up on dimensionals.

We'd love to see what magical creatures you put on your CAS card. Pop over and see what the rest of the team have done with it at The Paper Players
