As a Kiwi online ordering junkie, can I suggest you check our NZ Post's You Shop service. Sometimes shipping from the US is horrendous, but You Shop has a US address so you only pay for domestic shipping and then the rates from You Shop to NZ are very, very reasonable. But I digress. Your card is beautiful - I love those images. They are so soft and serene. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the heads up about You Shop. I hadn't known about it but am certainly anticipating doing more on-line ordering
ReplyDeleteHi Jan, how nice to get a comment from someone in the same country!! I don't come across many New Zealand crafters, so its lovely to hear from you. You were asking if the rose I had on a recent post (it was a very dark red David Austin) was William Shakespeare? I should have put the names in (silly me), its actually Falstaff. The perfume is outstanding and its always the healthiest rose I have, so really recommend it. I've only started ordering stamps from the U.S. a few months ago myself (very scary!!) and most of them arrive within a week, its faster than post from Auckland some times! Was just reading the comment about YouShop. Have never heard of it, so must look into it. The Altenew stamps you purchased are the first ones I bought from overseas when they first were released. They are fantastic and I love them on your card, looking wonderful in yellow. Sorry, have rambled on. I'm going to start following your blog so I don't miss anymore of your Altenew creations.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shona. I used to have William Shakespeare (I planted a writer's rose garden - the librarian in me!) but I lost it in a drought summer. I agree it's great to locate fellow Kiwis. I've been following your blog for a couple of weeks now and I enjoy it. Through it, I've seen some challenges I didn't know about, although I haven't played them yet. Great to hear from you.
DeleteHow exciting to have an early surprise in the mail! You have put these stamps to good use with this lovely card. Gorgeous colors! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
