Tidings & Trimmings for Paper Players 569

I couldn't pass up the chance to play along with Anne Marie's gorgeous sketch at The Paper Players this week.

With Christmas looming up so quickly, it was a good chance to make another card. My favourite equal bundle of the season is Tidings & Trimmings. Tailor Made Tags, another great set of dies to have in the cupboard, helped out.

The Tidings of Christmas DSP is wonderful for all Christmas projects, all in colours I love: Cherry Cobber, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Sahara Sand.

I've used the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder for the background and used a few 2021-23 In Colour Jewels for some bling.

Variations on a theme with Tidings & Trimmings

Clean and simple has always been the style of card that has appealed to me the most. Over the years, it's evolved perhaps into more clean and layered with various side-steps into other styles.

I've been exploring the Tidings & Trimmings bundle in the last few days so decided to go back to my roots and go for a very CAS card. Then, I remade it as a more clean and layered version. Hence, the variations on a theme in the title. 😀

The cluster is the same for both cards: the gorgeous die-cut star, the Christmas stocking stamped in Cinnamon Cider, the Mossy Meadow holly, the Cherry Cobbler berries and the Cherry Cobbler rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestones Basic Jewels pack.

The second card differs in having an embossed card front (Tasteful Textile) and an extra mat of Cinnamon Cider.

The colour inspiration for these came from the absolutely gorgeous palette at TGIF Challenges.

This challenge remains open until Thursday 9 September.
