Here at As You See It, we're back to the beginning of our challenge roster with a sketch challenge. This time, it's my sketch so I'm really interested to see what everyone does with it!
I was determined to use something from my stash of new things, so got out the Timeless Arrangements bundle. When I first saw this set in the 2023-24 Annual Catalogue, I thought it looked complicated. I was more than pleasantly surprised to discover the exact opposite was true - so, so easy!
It's so easy and so quick to put together a wow card with this bundle that I put together this tutorial to show you, plus a couple of other cards I've made.
Be sure to pop over the the As You See It Challenge page so you can see what the rest of the team have done with their ten minutes and to link up your own entry.

LOVE this sketch and I love your card. I think this bundle is one of the most versatile that SU has created! And yours is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, LeAnne! I'm more than pleasantly surprised by this bundle. So glad I got it - and also glad you liked the video - NZ accent and all!
DeleteBTW, the video is very helpful!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Jan - the delicate flowers and foliage look fabulous against the white base and I'm loving the textured central column too (still kicking myself that I forgot to order that EF on my last order!) And my favourite sketch of all time too!
ReplyDeleteThanks. - glad you liked the sketch too.
DeleteOh wow, Jan, I LOVE this card! That torn strip for the center column is brilliant - I am SO trying that, and I am blown away by the extra details you added to the sentiment and dies - I haven't even touched those flowers or the pretty pattern stamp - so clever! That really brings the wow!
ReplyDeleteHeather, I'm in love with those little stamped flowers and the circles. The idea of tearing the centre column just came to me as I was musing how I might find a way to do a wonky centre column of embossing.
DeleteBeautiful card, Jan! What a creative idea for the vertical stripe. I have to get that 3D embossing folder! Your video was great, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather. I like that folder more and more - although I'm still a very big fan of Timeworn Type.
DeleteI love this to bits, Jan! The white-on-white, your choice of embossing folder, and the colours you've used for the flowers and foliage are all so appealing. Beautiful use of this lovely bundle.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine - great to hear from you again. So glad you like it. :-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome video, love how easy and simple you make them, super stand out card design, love how you used the exposed brick embossing folder. .
ReplyDeleteThis is a winner Jan! I love a monochromatic card because the colors sing! I want that embossing folder! I keep forgetting to order it! Stunning all around!
