Cracker & Treat Box Dies for AYSI 280

Time for a new challenge at As You See It! This time, it's 'Fill in the blank....'

Christmas in July! I don't even want to think about it! Fortunately, my latest order arrived and in it were the Christmas Cracker Treat Box dies and they were begging to be tried out.

I used the Gold and Silver DSP from the current Sale-a-Bration brochure to make them. Before cutting them out, I used a blending brush to colour each side of the paper with Cherry Cobbler. This gave the ends of the crackers a pretty tinge, ranging from pink to deep red depending on how heavily I'd inked them. This lovely paper in silver and gold stripes and dots is available to be earned free with any purchase over $110 until the end of August.

The beautiful stitched labels, hearts and stars are part of the die set. I did have to raid the retired sets drawer to find a greeting from Itty Bitty Greetings for them though, but only because I didn't have any of the current ones that would fit.

I tied them off with cord from the Simple Elegant Trim duo.

So, what's your favourite Christmas in July (or August) creation? We'd love to see what you create.

You can see what the team have done and link up your own entry at the As You See It page.

  3. Jan - these are the coolest! We don't have the cracker boxes here (at least never in my family) and until I started to watch British/Australian/New Zealand shows on Acorn and Britbox - I didn't know about these. These are fun and ready for the Holiday season!

  4. I love these pretty as a picture festive crackers Jan - but I think the blending on that SAB paper is the thing that's totally blown my mind here! So clever and it totally changes the look and feel. I am also now wanting to add these dies to my collection ....!
