Blossoms in Bloom for Colour INKspiration 100

Welcome to the latest challenge at Colour Inkspiration. This one is a bit special because it's our 100th Challenge. The challenge was started by Tasmanian Demonstrator, Bronwyn Eastley in 2017. She put together a crew of 25 and eight of those are still with the challenge.

This challenge photo was chosen by Bronwyn and is of Bridestowe Lavender Farm in Tasmania. Lovely, isn't it?

If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the two easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group.

Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge.

If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends.

I was trying to be subtle with these vibrant colours. I'm not sure I succeeded but I think I tamed them a little!

Isn't the new Stitched Greenery die wonderful? It gives such a leafy backdrop. I'm loving it. To give a bit of breathing space for the sentiment, I layered up two labels: one from Painted Labels and then one from Stitched So Sweetly.

I used an acrylic block to smoosh together some Gorgeous Grape and Magenta Madness on Shimmery White cardstock and cut the second layer of the flower dies from it. Then I stamped the flower images on it and fussy cut them as a base for the flowers.

I ink smooshed Bermuda Bay onto Shimmery White cardstock and cut the foliage with a die from the Meadow dies, then cut it down to make a bed for the flowers. I added in some rhinestones to finish off.

  2. This is gorgeous - that stitched die was one of the first on my list, I love it, and your colourful accent flowers compliment all that white space beautifully.
