Beautiful Moments for GDP285

The colour challenge at Global Design Project this week is very sweet and made me think of the beach.

Although I was thinking of the beach, I've done a lot with Friends are Like Seashells and couldn't quite feel the love for Seaside Notions but then I saw Beautiful Moments on the shelf. It's perhaps not ended up quite as 'beach' as I'd thought when I started but I like it anyway. 😀

I stamped the girl, the birds and some extra plants on Shimmery White Cardstock in Tuxedo Black. I coloured the Seaside Spray and So Saffron with Stampin' Blends and the Sahara Sand with ink and a Blender Pen. Once it was done, I cut it using the equilateral triangles from Stitched Triangle dies. I cut triangles from Seaside Spray and So Saffron and arranged them on the card front, which had been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. This folder is sadly retiring so, if you want it, make sure to order it straight away.

The stamped triangles are popped up on dimensionals. Finally I added in the sentiment from Art Gallery and cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.
Update: Delighted to be chosen a a winner at Global Design Project.

  8. Just realised I hadn't commented on this card Jan which is very remiss of me - when I saw it it really blew me away! I absolutely love the way you've combined with the triangles for this layout - truly inspired and I can't wait to have a go myself!
