Well Written for Retro Rubber 151

This week's challenge is one that I was excited by. It's a colour challenge: use only red, white, grey and red. Of course, since this is Retro Rubber, you do still have to use at least one stamp that's a year or more old AND tell us the approximate age of it.

I got a retro kind of vibe from these colours so went for a graphic design with a simple sentiment. I've been playing around with circles a bit recently and maybe the maths teacher in me came into play but I think this will make a great masculine card.

I layered three stitched circles together then cut them in half. I layed them out on a background embossed with the Subtle folder. I like the way the stitches line up to make a sinuous line.

I used the Well Written dies, backed with foam sheet, to cut the 'happy', then painted it with Wink of Stella. The 'Birthday' is from the matching Well Said stamp set. This die and stamp set is so useful and came out in the 2019-2020 Catalogue.

You can see what the rest of the team have done with this challenge, and link up your entry, by visiting the Retro Rubber Challenge site. We'd love to see what you do and what stamps you have in your stash.

  3. This is simply fabulous! I love the graphic look and the design is eye-catching for me in how you placed the "happy" sentiment - pulling both pieces together beautifully! LOVE this card!
